Eclipse Halo: Your xyn's halo resembles either a solar or lunar eclipse.
This halo is viewed differently depending on the type of eclipse exhibited:
-Lunar Eclipse: Cursed/Bad Luck/False Prophecies/Bad Omens
-Solar Eclipse: Power/Heart/Good Tidings/Blessed Omens

Things that are thought to be unlucky or bad omens in Lunerest:
-The moon(s) being obscured (eclipse/clouds/etc.) - thought to be bad luck and signal bad omens..

-Equipment/clothing/accessories worn when corrupted - said to be bad luck and bring bad fortune
-Not saying goodbye - thought to be bad luck and bad omens to relationships

Happy Rainbowstorm Renaissance! The rumblings of the rainbowstorms have begun and daring xyns are once again out storm chasing! The rainbow lightning and warmer air has all of Lunerest excited. Xyns all over gather to watch the brilliant storm displays, chase the storms or just sit and watch the rain with a good book and cup of tea. There's often games, dares and competitions going on during the storms and xyns all over are preparing for the bursts of flowers and spring after the storm.

During the end of the colder season, faefolk gather together in the Cherished Circle to celebrate love, bonds, family and friendship. Faefolk like to dress themselves in heart-themed shawls and dresses to get into the spirit of the season! Heart-shaped craft offeings to Styr'Fa and those they care deeply about are common. Though it's frowned upon to have a beloved of a season that's different from their own season - some faefolk still go against the current and meet up in secret for this festival to exchange gifts. Faefolk are encouraged to spend long amounts of quality time with those they consider dear to them.
The leaders of the seasons take a significant amount of time to meet with Styr'Fa. Some seasons are more mischevious than others when their leaders' backs are turned!

You'll see more guest artist designs from them and they can now take fully common customs without the use of a MYO slot by the commissioner! You may add on potions to your customs as well.
I will be randomly inviting other temporary guest artists over the year for advents/events as well. ❤
For full transparency; there won't be any applications- I reach out to people I either trust/know very well or I see have really good mastery over making Lunerest characters and a good understanding of all traits.

Happy Frostfall Festival! The xyns of Lunerest are getting used to the chilly weather! There's lots of snow and ice around during this time, so many snow/ice-sculpting contests are held! Xyns take great pride in their art, and there's competitions with wonderful prizes throughout the month. Xyns also celebrate the falling of new snow by having get-togethers and singing songs. Sometimes xyns will leave offerings for the snow gods on top of huge mountains! However, during the winter months, the wilds get more dangerous. There's predators looking to prey on xyns during this time so xyns are extra vigilant to bring trained guards when going out!

Your xyn has been invited to the first ever Crystalnight Ball! Xyns gather from all over Lunerest to dance and party the nights away. Everyxyn is adorned in jewelry, crystals and ribbons and there are tons of performances by different xyns. There's group moonbathing, dancing and even attendance from the queens and other royalty. The ball is also heavily guarded since corruption beasts tend to be more active during the wintry months.
Draw your xyn attending the Crystalnight Ball. Are they making new connections? Meeting up with old ones? Partying? Maybe they're on guard duty?

HELLO!!!! Wow it's been a really intense year full of changes for me but I'm finally starting to settle into my new life here and I have PLANS!!!!
Full transparency/disclosures ahead whee
-I'm going to try to even out the limited traits available per festival, that means some festivals are going to get MORE traits than others and some won't be getting new traits at all! (Gemheart Faire, for example, has the max amount of potions I want to have so it won't be getting any new traits this year.)
-MORE random lore drops even on things I don't think people will care about x"D Some I have planned are illnesses, social quirks, knight lore...
-MORE GA designs
-Events that last more than one month so I have time to not just work on Lunerest 100% of my free time x"D
-Faefolk exclusive events (first one coming up in Feburary)
And uhh that's about it!!!! For now!! I do have a pile of unfinished projects I want to do (pokes Lunerestian zodiacs with a stick) but I don't think I'll have time to finish those up this year...we shall see

Happy Snowlight Bash everyone! It's starting to get cold outside and snow, but the xyns are still out and about nonetheless! There are beautiful auroras floating in the sky constantly, so a lot of xyns spend time outside following the auroras. Xyns are known to exchange gifts, cards and other treats around this time! The early snow brings cozy clothes into fashion and xyns are always trying to look fabulous! Sledding, snowxyn making and cocoa competitions are starting, the main cities are decorated with lights, xyns love this jolly season!

Trailing Aurora: Your xyn trails a beautiful aurora behind them wherever they go. Optionally; the aurora can be filled with small stars.
Seasonal Faefolk Traits:
Light Pillars: Allows your faefolk to have multicoloured pillars of light shining off of them towards the sky.
(Light pillars must trail upwards into the sky!)

New Enchanted Accessories:
Enchanted Sash: Gives your xyn an ethereal sash that floats nearby them.

Fifth Annual Xynmas Secret Xanta!!!

It's that time of the year again, time to sign up for the Secret Xanta exchange!
The Secret Xanta signups will be open from November 1st - November 10th; assignments will be sent out November 11th!
Secret Xanta gifts will be able to be posted between December 25th - January 1st!
Rules and Details:
-At least one xyn to sign up with! This is only open to Lunerest characters.
-You must draw one full-body, coloured gift-art of one of the xyns your recipient has listed! Lineart may be sketchy and chibis and pixel art is allowed as long as it's at least 100x100 in size.
-Please do not draw more than one xyn, as there will be no additional secret xanta rewards for drawing additional xyns. If you draw your recipient more than one gift, you understand that you will not get extra compensation from the prompt!
-If you have an emergency and cannot finish your gift, please DM Key either on discord (tehshleigh) or toyhouse (keydemon) as soon as possible so we can get a backup artist assigned!
-You may DM key any one person you're not comfortable being matched with.
-If you fail to complete your gift AND do not notify Key to provide you with a backup artist, you may be put on the naughty list for future Secret Xantas.

This month is MYO Bonus month! When submitting a MYO you can choose any one extra uncommon-limited trait to add onto xyns or any one extra uncommon-seasonal trait to add to faefolk.

Please include which extra trait you're using for free and which plushie you want in the "Comments" of your MYO submission.
You can submit a MYO, xynlet, gacha egg, breeding, etc. - as long as you're using up a MYO slot it will count for a bonus!

Happy Brighthollow Banquet, everyxyn! During the Brighthollow Banquet, there are large harvests of the fruits, flowers and vegetables unique to Lunerest. There’s often great banquets and balls to attend. Rogue spirits float through the air and give out tricks and treats during this time! Xyns tour through Lunerest, appreciating the pixyns’ work changing the seasons. Xyns dress up in costumes to celebrate their ancestors and the lost spirits drifting about. The sky and forests are often lit up with these little spirits!

Faefolk are here!!!!
Faefolk are tiny, bipedal fae-creatures that inhabit the small planet near Lunerest. For a long time, the planet has been sealed away by Styr'Fa's magic. Recently, the faefolk shrines around Lunerest have become active and communication between the lands has been re-established! Faefolk tend to a planet split up into four permanent seasons and take care of the source of their magic and life: Styr'Fa.

*Xyns are now able to access a faefolk form via the mysterious sheet music item!
Faefolk is intended to be a casual ARPG experience! The seasonal prompt will rotate every 3 months instead of every month. There will still be events with limited-time items specially for faefolk but the events will be rarer than for xyns.
Starting today all MYO coins, stickers and enchanted accessories may be used for faefolk as well as xyns!
Potions do not work on faefolk- to get special seasonal traits, you must use a seasonal blessing!

Leafdusk Fete + Anniversary + Moonsoath Tournament!

Leafdusk Fete
During the Leafdusk Fete, the plants around Lunerest are fading from their normal colours to bright yellows and oranges. The xyns celebrate the changing of the seasons with the Leafdusk Fete! The weather is cooler and light from the moon doesn't last as long. Many xyns enjoy this change from the hot months to the cooler ones. During the Leafdusk Fete there’s always a huge scavenger hunt! Ryu and Yuhi hide dawnberry flowers among the changing leaves and xyns that bring one to them are rewarded with sweets! There’s a huge sky-dance among the changing leaves that happens every night around bonfires. Xyns start to sell cozier accessories like scarves and earmuffs and there’s a craft market that starts up! There’s always good food and merriment to be had during the Leafdusk Fete!
