Happy Frostfall Festival! The xyns of Lunerest are getting used to the chilly weather! There's lots of snow and ice around during this time, so many snow/ice-sculpting contests are held! Xyns take great pride in their art, and there's competitions with wonderful prizes throughout the month. Xyns also celebrate the falling of new snow by having get-togethers and singing songs. Sometimes xyns will leave offerings for the snow gods on top of huge mountains! However, during the winter months, the wilds get more dangerous. There's predators looking to prey on xyns during this time so xyns are extra vigilant to bring trained guards when going out!

Entries must be at least half-body and coloured; writing entries must be at least 500 words. 2 ice coins base +2 for each extra registered Xyn included +2 for detailed background +1 if your Xyn was born this month! +2 for 250 extra word count

Winter is here and the winter faefolk are full of magic!
Winterhaven is busy with festive chores like shaping snowflakes, brightening up the auroras and adding that sprinkle of festive joy to every evergreen tree. Faefolk gather from the nearby clans to help in exchange for the blessings of the season.

Alternatively, Summerchase struggles as the entire planet becomes colder. The plants struggle in the cold, the days are darker, everything requires more upkeep.

Draw or write about your faefolk (or xyn in faefolk form) helping with the winter season!
Alternatively; if you have a summer faefolk, draw or write about them working extra hard to upkeep Summerchase.

Requirements:
At least one fullbody, fullcoloured faefolk or a 400 word story.

Details

Late at night, your xyn receives a glittering, crystal-encrusted scroll paw-delivered by an ethereal deliveryxyn adorned in crystals, jewelry and ribbons.
They wordlessly bow to you as they flit off into the night, their mailbag full of glittering invitations.
Your xyn opens it to reveal a dazzling invitation:

"Dearest starlight,

You are cordially invited to the first ever Crystalnight Ball.
This will be an ongoing party consisting of dancing, conversing, moonbathing and gifts from the queens.
You are encouraged to dress up accordingly. Jewelry, crystals and ribbons are the encouraged dress for this event.
This event is to bring xyns from all over to meet new and exciting xyns and perhaps make some new connections!
It will be held at the castle in Moonreach, please feel free to come and go at your leisure.

Your xyn has been invited to the first ever Crystalnight Ball! Xyns gather from all over Lunerest to dance and party the nights away. Not only are xyns there to make new friends or meet up with old friends from far away; xyns look for romance, business partners and whisper secrets among each other. Everyxyn is adorned in jewelry, crystals and ribbons and there are tons of performances by different xyns. There's group moonbathing, dancing and even attendance from the queens and other royalty. The ball is also heavily guarded since corruption beasts tend to be more active during the wintry months (the knights even dress up!).

Draw your xyn attending the Crystalnight Ball. Are they making new connections? Meeting up with old ones? Partying? Maybe they're on guard duty?

Requirements and Rewards:

There are 4 tiers of complexity/difficulty for this prompt and depending on the tier you complete you will earn a higher tier goodie bag with better rewards!
Please note that the currency prizes are as-is besides companion or enchanted accessory/artifact bonuses. Please do not refer to the currency guide for extra rewards for this prompt.

Tier 1

Requirements: x2 fullbody xyns interacting, flatcolour, no background.

Rewards: Bronze Crystalnight Gift, 10 charms, 2 event currency.

Tier 2

Requirements: x2 fullbody xyns interacting, one must belong to another player or admin, flatcolour, background.

Rewards: Silver Crystalnight Gift, 16 charms, 2 event currency and 6 moonstones.

Tier 3

Requirements: x2 fullbody xyns interacting, one must belong to another player or admin AND your xyn has to have not interacted with them prior to the Ball, shaded, background. You link your xyns afterwards with at least a sentence outlining their new relationship.

Rewards: Obsidian Crystalnight Gift, 22 charms, 4 event currency and 10 moonstones.

Tier 4

Requirements: x2 fullbody xyns interacting, one must belong to another player or admin AND your xyn has to have not interacted with them prior to the Ball, shaded, background. You link your xyns afterwards with at least a sentence outlining their new relationship. You include a small 2-4 sentence letter or note in-character to the other xyn after the Ball (these can be written by one player for a solo prompt submission or by each player in case of a collab).

Rewards: Mythic Crystalnight Gift, 30 charms, 6 event currency and 12 moonstones.

The prompt may be submitted once per xyn.
Please specify which xyn is the focus xyn when turning in so that we may mark them off as completing the prompt.

If you wish to collab each player will receive a crystalnight gift and half of the currency.

Prompts must be submitted individually per xyn- you cannot draw multiple couples of xyns in one piece to claim multiple prizes.

It would be helpful if you added your own rewards to the prompt but if not a mod will do it!

Crystalnight Ball Best Dressed Competition

Any entry of your xyn that shows them mostly fullbody and dressed for the occassion will be automatically entered into the Crystalnight Ball Best Dressed Competition.
The xyn you're intending to enter should be the focus of the prompt.
Xyns are expected to dress in jewelry, crystals and ribbons. The sparklier and showier the better!

(The competition will be judged by key and freya between February 1-5.)
