[Gift] Exploring and befriending

Kiba was tasked with gathering resources. She knew Selune Woods was a good place for that task so she went there. On the way Kiba needed to cross two moonrivers. She felt energy surging through herself after swimming in it. Her halo also started glowing brighter.

Kiba had taken a guide book with her and a basket for carrying the resources. This wasn't the first time she traveled here so she was pretty good at recognizing the plants. She also had a lantern tied to her neck. The forest was lush with plenty of resources although she hoped to find some of the rare ones as there was always a shortage of those.

Entering the forest, she saw some petals on the ground. A white pwigi was beside it and turned to look at Kiba. The pwigi let out a chirp. ”Hello” Kiba greeted the pwigi. She turned to the petals and took a closer look at them. They glowed a little. She instantly recognized they were moonflower petals, a common find in this area. She grabbed some of them with her wings and put them into the basket. The pwigi took flight and made a pirouette in the sky. At first Kiba thought it was just showing off but it gestured to Kiba to follow. She followed the white bird. She took flight to keep up with the bird.

After a while the pwigi landed on a clearing and Kiba followed. The sights were amazing, there were trees around the clearing and a pond. Ghostles were dancing in the air over and around the lake. Kiba could not help but grin seeing them so happy. She thanked the pwigi for taking her there. Following the ghostles, she suddenly noticed a lone ghostle horn on the ground. Now she was in luck, it was a rare find. Kiba went to it and thanked the moon in her mind. She picked it up with her wings and put it into the basket.

Kiba heard some rustling on the bushes. Her head shot to the direction of the sound, she was ready to run in case it was a corruption beast. A dark figure emerged but it wasn't a beast, it was too small to be one. It was a Lunarestian. Her shoulders and leg muscles relaxed. It was a gray Lunarestian with black wings and a uni-horn. His eyes gave a soft glow. The spots in his fur glowed in blues and purples.

”Hello! Nice to meet you. I'm Kiba. Who are you?” she greeted the gray Moxyn happily.

He seemed to just notice her ”Hi. I'm Twinkle”. He seemed less enthusiastic about the meeting than she was.

”What are you doing?” she asked Twinkle.

”I’m gathering” he replied.

”What a coincidence, so am I!” she exclaimed. Kiba noticed Twinkle had a puffle with him.

”Could we gather together? It would be safer and you even have a puffle that could help us find more resources”

”Okay, if you want to” he replied and went past the lake and Kiba followed.

Kiba and Twinkle started exploring the woodland area together. They combined their forces, Twinkle searching from the ground level and Kiba from the air, scouting for possible spots. Kiba spotted ruins from the air and let Twinkle know. They flew there together and landed there. ”Ancient stones, I should’ve known” Kiba said, disappointed, picking up some stones in her basket. Twinkle just shrugged. As Kiba lifted one stone she saw something shining underneath. The puffle started making a noise, alerting the owner of a great resource. Looking at it closer Kiba gasped, it was a Beeteor stinger. She got lucky again. But now that she was with Twinkle she felt bad having seen it first and she had already found a Ghostle horn.
She started to hand it to Twinkle ”You can have it, as a thanks for accompanying me”
He rolled his eyes and pushed it back to Kiba ”No you found it, you’ve earned it” Kiba got flushed from this, he now started to think Twinkle was a gentleman. She hurriedly put it into her basket and thanked him. He offered to walk her home as he was heading in the same direction anyway. Kiba happily accepted the offer.
