Hunting for Shooting Stars

"Are you sure you don't want to take a nap before we go, Asenna?"

"No, no, no," Senna had an uncharacteristic bounce in her step as she headed out towards the hills. "I took a nap today already, I'll be fine." Her cupagon friend, Yawn, made a garping sound at this. Asenna took it as a an affirmation of what she'd just said. Cotton, however, saw the look on the little creature's face, and took it that the little companion was agreeing that Asenna was probably going to tire out. Asenna was always tired!

Nevertheless, the little group of friends set out into the sky, looking for a suitably high hill top to settle upon so that they could go about searching the lightened sky, absolutely littered with stars at this point, for the ones that were shooting across the night. They had both seen plenty of shooting stars, plenty of meteor showers, but as with most lunerestians, this little group was enamored with everything celestial. Also, it had been awhile since Asenna had gathered the energy to go on an adventure. Even if the adventure was as low energy and chill as just stargazing with pals!

Cotton was usually pretty quiet, just like Asenna, but tonight she was recounting, rather excitedly, about all the oddly colored flowers the shop had been getting in lately. So many variations that you normally wouldn't see... and Asenna had been awfully quiet this entire time... Cotton turned her gaze away from the stars overhead. "Asenna, did you fall asleep?"

She looked down just in time to see Asenna in the middle of the world's largest yawn. It was impressively long. It took several seconds for her friend to regain enough composure to respond. "No! Not at all!" Cotton and Yawn both giggled in endless amusement at the ever-sleepy friend!
