Dagaz's Birthday Bash!
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" Prisma cheered, smiling widely, showing sharp teeth. She had come all the way from the sea, just to be here for Dagaz' birthday. She even brought a gift!
Said (soggy) gift was now held in Dagaz's wings, dripping on the floor, the damp underside bulging alarmingly, as if the contents would fall through at any moment. Dagaz eyed the package warily, but then remembered that she was the host of this party. And a good one at that!
"Thanks so much!" she said brightly. "Come on i...", but Prisma had already rushed past her before she could finish the sentence. Dagaz heard a 'whoop' and a splash and turned around to see that Prisma had taken residence INSIDE the fountain, wiggling happily in the water, while quite a few soaked xyns that had partied in the vicinity were glaring at the mer-xyn.
Trying very hard not to laugh, Dagaz turned around to the other new arrival. Lir had stood behind his sea companion, quietly waiting for his turn. He chuckled and handed Dagaz a small bottle, which - as she knew - contained some of his wind magic. It was an open secret that Lir used his magic in the only way he ever knew and cared about: To speed up his flight. It had become a tradition that he would gift her some of his magic each year for her birthday, so that she could join in his fun. "Happy birthday" he said, much more reserved than Prisma, but with a warm smile. She mirrored his expression. "Thanks, Lir. Glad you could make it." He strode past her and she took a moment to overlook the crowd.
The ornamental gardens where lit with artificial, natural and magical lights, the various colors of magic combining with the warm yellow glow of lamplights and the pale blue of Lunerest's moons. Chattering, laughing and yelling xyns where everywhere, the loud voices mixing with music of a band that had spontaenously formed (some members more talented than others). They all came. The vexyns were towering above everyone else, usually quieter and more serious than the livelier moxyns, but there were exceptions to that rule, of course.
Dagaz felt her chest warming. How she appreciated all of them!
The Lunar Lords where standing on the balcony of their castle, watching on. Dagaz knew they'd join in later, not wanting to miss on the fun of their subjects. They just loved a grand entrance, as was fitting for them. Dagaz looked forward to it.
A heavy hand landed on her shoulder, startling her.
"Hey Dagaz!" a loud voice said. Ragna's.
A second hand joined the first, the arm attached to it worming around her shoulders from the other side.
"Dagaz, dear..." a gentler voice joined in and Dagaz recognized Eden.
The royal knight and knight in training (in Ragna's case) had only recently gained celestial shifting and were making good use of their anthro forms. Both vexyns had taken Dagaz into their middle, a muscled (again in Ragna's case) and a more slender (Eden's) arm wrapped around the much smaller xyn's shoulders. Dagaz felt immediately cornered.
"We were wondering..." Eden continued with a charming, trustworthy smile. Dagaz didn't believe it for a second.
"WE WONDERED IF YOU LIKED A GOOD SWIM!" Ragna boomed. And then, both vexyns used their hands (so very unfair that they had them!) to fling Dagaz right into the fountain, where a cackling Prisma awaited her.
Yeah, Dagaz thought, as she surfaced, laughing despite herself. This party was a success, if she dared say so.
I was hit by the inspiration train and dusted off my writing skills :'3.

THANKS KEY. I'm so happy you liked it ;_;. Especially since I hoped I wouldn't butcher Dagaz's personality too much, haha x'D
