See, it's not like Daphne *chose* exactly to be become a Scout. No, that decision was clearly taken by her rather strict and traditional father who deemed it a good way to finally get his daughter to understand what exactly it meant to be a true Vexyn, feel the warrior spirit. Daphne had never been that, even as a little Vexlet, always the odd one out, way more interested in more casual things and performance arts in particular, not that most of the other Vexyns would understand. Moonreach, then, proves a double edged sword, on the one hand chaining her to her fathers obligations and on the other giving her an opportunity for her songstress and model career on the side to truly blossom. But, as it stands, Daphne is willing to take that if if means she gets to live her most authentic life possible.

To Daphne, there's nothing more important in life than pursuing one's true self. It's why she very easily sympathizes with xyns that don't feel quite comfortable in their own skin and wishes to lift them up as best as she can, hopes that both her image and songs inspire everyone to live a life that suits them best.

✩ Even though she's 'only' a scout (as she figured that it wouldn't be as much of a chore to become a scout compared to a warrior) , Daphne knows how to fight and can be quite scary when she does. It's wise not to anger her
