Background:

Inori is a xyn that enjoys serenity and beauty. Peaceful by nature, he generally despises the use of violence unless absolutely necessary and has a tight hold on his powers. Despite being a very powerful earth elemental, he prefers to use his element for "softer" effects, like flowergrowth and letting petals rain from the cherrytrees. Inori is all about control, where other xyns - like Ragna, cough - are chaos. His dignified, controlled nature, together with his wisdom, make him an excellent and much-respected teacher to younger xyns. He often trains them in ways to control their magic and has also taken it upon himself to teach the impulsive Lily, a rather chaotic ice elemental, the finer art of her element. He hopes she also learns some dignity and inner strength along the way, so that the use of her ice powers becomes less "explosive" for her surroundings (especially for poor Lir). Aside from his "sensei personality", Inori can also be quite creepy, mostly when he uses his earth powers to scare away rowdies and to put his pupils back in line. Being as collected as he is, he usually doesn't show his anger openly, but still his entire aura changes, making everyone around him nervous and on edge. His way of dealing with dangers like corruption beasts is summoning giant thorns from the ground, impaling them like insects.
