Born in Heartsong Isles, Kira always carried large aspirations for bigger, exciting things. Wanting more to his life beyond carefree peace in the Isles, Kira sets his sights on becoming a knight, leaving for Moonreach at a rather young age.

Knights training brings Kira to partnering with Nakashi, and the two proved a formidable force in training. However their partnership does not last as an accident occurs during a demonstration by Nakashi, resulting in many injured and corrupted xyns. Nakashi has since then left training and isolated himself, and Kira is left in the dark to where his partner had gone.
