Knight Quests: Task

Pantalaimon laid in their designated cot within a room of the trainee barracks, ruminating over the current state of now that two of Lunerest's moons had fallen silent.

Ever since their brief confrontation with Raghnall, they weren't entirely sure of how to feel being a part of the Knights they once disrespected. Through socializing with their peers that had never seen them before they had easily won many of them over with their wit and charm; yet some of their superiors and some other knights were not so willing to be so accepting of them.

"You know you're only here because the Royal Knights were desperate to take anyone in now, right?" one surly Knight asked Pantalaimon. The knight narrowed their eyes at them. "I heard rumors from the Captains about what you've done in the past. Don't think that we'll be so easy on you."

Pantalaimon kept a poker face, and yawned, feigning disinterest. "Ohhhh, my!" they drawled, "You know it's rude to stick your nose into other xyn's business when you're not directly involved, don't you? But I think I heard about the other day about how you were caught flirting off duty..."

The other knight snarled, and left Pantalaimon in a huff. Pantalaimon rolled their eyes once the knight left. Threatening types like Raghnall were desperate to have any sense of superiority over others.

No matter. They were only doing this for the sake of saving the world, after all... at least for now- is what they told themself.

Pantalaimon, Troia, and their cohort of trainees and lesser knights stood before their Captain.

"You're being tasked to travel to Pixiehome with a group to deliver supplies  to the residents there," their Captain instructed them. "Ever since two of our moons have fallen, the magic of the moon rivers surrounding Pixiehome have weakened significantly. The Pixyns are struggling and won't be able to defend themselves or escape if a Corruptions beast or corrupted xyns come to invade; we're regularly sending Knights there to  ensure they're taken care of."

Some of the xyns turned to each other, and began murmuring amongst themselfes. Of all of the xyn types, Pixyns were  defenseless the most vulnerable of them all to Corruption Beast attacks; what would happen to Pixiehome if the Corruption Beasts could cross the river boundaries...?

Pantalaimon and Troia arrived at Pixiehome with their cohort of trainees and knights arrived in Pixiehome after a few days. It was eerily quiet compared to how Pixiehome normally bustled with activity. Everyxyn entered the forest one by one, cautiously stepping inside. 

"Where are the pixyns?" asked one knight. "They don't have to be afraid of us."

A single clover on the ground, right by the entrance, subtly stood out amongst a bed of clovers. All of them were drooping, but this one especially so. Troia watched as Pantalaimon gently puffed a breath onto it, and a Pixyn burst out of it in a shower of magic.

"Oh, thank goodness you Knights are here!" The Pixyn cried out. "Please help us! I'll take you to the others- they'll fill you in from there!"
