Spright is Missing
Lunerest has been chaotic in these current times, to say the least. The moons have been growing dimmer, the energy has been all out of whack, the knights seemed scattered all over in their efforts, while commonfolk xyns were growing weaker and more panicked, some even falling victims to corruption. There hasn't been this much unrest and trouble in what felt like a really long time, and yet here and now everyone was living through these unprecedented events.
Aisha, with Bea and Moxie in tag with her as they often were, was looking at one of the posters that's been getting spread all around Moonreach: "Spright's shop was attacked and destroyed, and Spright is missing! Seeking any aid that can be provided in shop restorations or search of the shopkeeper. Helping xyns shall be fairly compensated".
"Not Spright's shop!" cried out Moxie a little too dramatically.
"You're worried more about that than the missing Spright himself?.." mumbled Bea in faer usual lethargic manner, staring in disbelief, but hardly surprised about faer friend's priorities.
"Both things are worrying," said Aisha, still examining the poster hanging in front of them for any extra information.
"But it's not like we can contribute any efforts to the search", she added, "The least we could do is help out with the shop restoration".
The pixyns accompanying them nodded in unison, not having any arguments against that. Once Aisha was finished, they headed together towards the incident's location.
As they approached, they noticed a group of xyns hard at work, knights and commoners alike, some still picking up the rubble, some coming over carrying nee materials, some busy with actually building back up the store itself, while others seemed busy with restoring the shop inside where able. Some were going around giving out water and snacks so the hard workers don't forget about breaks.
Unsure of how or where to even start, the three xyns came closer to a white, big looking vexyn knight with sparkly pink and blue markings in hopes of some guidance. Their approach didn't go unnoticed, a trained eye apparently never missing anything in their surroundings.
"Greetings there! I gather you've heard the news, so if you've come to shop, I'm afraid you won't be able to as of yet," the vexyn spoke, smiling amicably enough to not look intimidating.
"Actually, we've seen the ads for the restoration efforts," sheepishly replied Aisha, awkwardly looking to the side, "But we've just come here and don't know where to start with it. Do you know what we could do?"
The vexyn smiled wider, unintentionally baring their sharp fangs, but thankfully not looking any scarier.
"You've come to the right xyn! Name's Eden," they stretched out a paw, giving every one in the group a confident shake, "There is lots you can contribute, I'm sure of it; even the little one," they said, eyeing Bea.
Eden led the way, showing the trio around and explaining the current situation, catching the xyns up to speed, then explained all the plentiful ways they could help out. However, they couldn't keep holding the knight up, so they thanked Eden for the aid and parted ways. Now that all of them were informed properly, they needed to think who was going to do what.
"I might help out with collecting the rubble and otherwise cleaning up the mess," spoke Aisha thoughtfully, "I'm used to getting my paws dirty, and it would be good to exercise my magic a bit even if I'm not very strong."
"Oh, oh, oh!" exclaimed Moxie excitedly, "I picked something more fun! I wanna round up the runaway pogs and lumihoots! Me and Hoppy will ace that, no problem." As he spoke, her sproingy jumped out at the sound of its name, hopping around with curiosity in its beady little eyes.
"I'm not so sure what I can do..." mumbled Bea, not one to ever sound confident.
Aisha and Moxie rubbed their snouts in thought.
"Maybe giving out water and snacks to everybody else?" Aisha suggested gently, "I think it should be simple enough for you, and you would still be helping out everybody else!" they explained.
"Yeah!" Moxie joined in, wiggling the xynlet around reassuringly, "Remember what that vexyn knight said! All the efforts count!!"
Bea lowered faer head, considering faer friends' words, then nodded.
"I suppose you're right," fae replied, and felt faerself get swept up in a hug by the other two xyns, "Ah!"
"Don't worry about it BeaBea," Aisha said with reassurance, carefully squeezing her friend, "We promise you've got this. And I'm sure your little friends will help you out as well!"
As if on cue, a white pwigi landed right on top of the xynlet's head, and a shoyle came out from behind a log, as if both cheered on their little companion.
With that, the three xyns agreed to meet back up near the shop later that night, and parted their ways.
