Legendseekers Part 1: The Moons Wane
Ever since Ragna had become a knight, she couldn’t WAIT for her first mission. Finally free of her instructor, she was allowed to roam around without having to worry about someone sitting in her neck, who was watching her every move and just DYING to find a mistake.
As a full-fledged knight, her missions were her own. It was on her to make all the decisions, what risks to take and what the best course of action would be.
But of course, things were never that easy. She should have known better.
With the new threat upon Lunerest, Ragna had eagerly volunteered to set out and search for the culprit. In fact, many knights had volunteered, and with their numbers they were able to fan across the country. As knights they were better equipped to fight off any danger than the average Lunerestian.
Ragna prided herself in her fighting skills. She wasn’t as smart as Eden and her temper got in the way often, but… it had gotten better! She had learned to reign in her initial anger, calm down and ask the right questions. She thought before she acted! And with her feelings – mostly – under control, she managed to make the better decisions.
That’s why she didn’t quite understand why she had been assigned her little… “helper”. It seemed, her former instructor had found a way to torment her still. Dammit.
Rune, the forest witch, was an eminent authority when it came to corruption, spells and mysteries. It made sense that she would accompany the knights on their mission. But WHY in the moons did she have to follow RAGNA around, of all people?
They had hardly taken a step out of the door and were already bickering. Ragna, who had barely any knowledge when it came to magical artifacts, was already frustrated with the Sunchaser Amulet. She just couldn’t figure out how it worked! And Rune insisted that she could help, that she was an expert, that she was VERY skilled when it came to these things… But Ragna held up the artifact, just out of Rune’s reach, who was reduced to an embarrassing jumping, trying to reach the amulet with each hop. Ragna didn’t budge. She was determined to manage on her own.
“For your information”, Rune said through clenched teeth, her long hair all mussy. “Shaking the amulet won’t do anything! If you want to DESTROY it, however please DO continue.”
“I know that!” Ragna barked. At the moment, she was doing a piss-poor job of reigning in her temper. She blamed the witch. “Stop with your nagging and shut up for a second! I need to concentrate!”
“Of course. Take your time. It’s not like we’re on an URGENT mission or whatever.” Rune mocked. Ragna could feel a nerve in her eyebrow start twitching.
Above all floated Basil, Rune’s trusted chickle companion. He also had closed his eyes in frustration, as if sending a silent prayer for patience to the skies.
Well, this could prove to be a looooong journey.

Poor Ragna.
Poor Rune.
And most important: Poor Basil x'D.
I couldn't decide who of the two xyns I wanted to enter with, so I chose both! But Ragna is the focus character <3.
